Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, coordinating nursing activities, and leading a team of nurses. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of excellent medical services. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for making a positive impact on patients’ lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
  • Coordinate and oversee the nursing care activities of a designated unit or department.
  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and education.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, identify any changes in condition, and take appropriate actions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in nursing practice and healthcare technology.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among nursing staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent. Master’s degree in Nursing or related field is a plus.
  • Valid nursing license and registration in the respective jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience as a Staff Nurse or in a similar nursing role.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in a specific area, such as medical-surgical, critical care, pediatrics, etc.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Proficient in using healthcare technology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
